When should I arrive?

You should arrive on the beginning day of your conference. Example: June 23 will be on the 23rd. Check in time will be after 2pm and Check out is 11 am.

If I have a single room is it possible to bring a friend?

The price is per person. However, if you're interested in bringing a guest who is not interested in attending our writing workshop we offer a $300 deduction.

How do I get to the hotel?

There will be a hotel shuttle that will pick you up at the airport. Afterwards, if you're interested in going into town you have a choice of either taking the shuttle or take a taxi for $5.00--per cab.

Will I be able to take a class with Jane Campion or Michael Ondaatje?

Both Jane and Michael will be socializing at the conference for that entire week; however, they will not be teaching a daily workshop. Jane will be offering an early morning yoga workout for those who are interested.

I'm coming alone, how do I find a roommate?

We will do our best to match roomates. Please make sure you answer our questionaire.

I'm a vegetarian, do you offer special meals?

Yes, we will provide special meals; however, we must receive this information in advance.

Is the converence open to the public?

The conference is not open to the public, everyone must register prior to the conference.

Is there internet service?

Yes, internet service is available in the hotels and cafes.

I don't speak French, how will I understand where to go?

France is no longer a country where it's difficult to get around if you don't speak French. Most people speak English. Airports have information centers where you'll be able to get directions in English. If you have any problems or difficulties you are welcome to contact any of the Abroad Writers' Conference staff at the hotel where the conference will be given and we'll do our best to assist you.

How do I pay?

You may pay by check, money order or Visa. We use paypal visa. All you have to do is to click the visa button and you'll be taken automatically to the billing site.

Will we be served lunch?

We do not offer lunch; however, it's served at the hotel or in town.

I'm interested in visiting with an agent, what should I do?

We will be bringing two agents with us. You will have an appointment with both. We have had a wonderful success rate of getting agents for our participants.

Will I need a car for the California conference?

Yes, we do not offer transportation in California. Also, if you are planning on staying at one of the houses you will receive a parking card for your rental car which will allow you to park.
