Abroad Writers' Conference invites you to enter our fellowship competitions in Short Story(Fiction and Creative non-fiction), Screen Writing, Poetry, and Play Writing. Competition is open to everyone. Fellowship winners will receive a scholarship that will allow them to attend the conference for free--does not include airfare. Second place winners, will receive a 50% discount on our conference fees. Fellowship winners in short story and poetry will also be published in our literary journal "Driftwood". We want to see all our fellowship winners published so we work hard at finding an agents for our winners.

All manuscripts must be original unpublished material. Please indicate clearly at the top of the first page of each manuscript the genre of your submission (i.e., fiction, screenwriting, playwriting, or poetry) as well as the title of your work. Include your name, address,email and phone number, in addition to the title(s) of the work(s) submitted. Please enclose a $20.00 check, money order, cash or paypal number with each entry. Please write out checks to "ABROAD". Send to ABROAD WRITERS, 17363 Sutter Creek Road, Sutter Creek, CA 95685. Also, please indicate which competition you're applying for.

We will not award fellowships until we receive a minimum number of 200 applicants to cover our cost. If the minimum has not been received in one month we will roll the competition over to the following month, or until the minimum number has been obtained. If we do not receive the minimum number of applicants prior to our posted conference date, winners will be awarded a fellowship to attend our conference the following year.
